Grades available

Rebaudioside M — Reb M — is one of the sweetest and best-tasting glycosides in the stevia leaf. It occurs only in tiny amounts in the leaf, so commercial Reb M is produced either by purification from high-Reb M leaf or by bioconversion of other steviol glycosides. Either way, the result is a stevia sweetener whose taste is closer to sugar than any other.

Why Reb M

  • Cleaner taste. Faster sweetness onset, less lingering and markedly less bitterness than Reb A at the same sweetness.
  • Deeper sugar reduction. You can push to zero sugar before off-notes appear, often with simpler flavour masking.
  • Same convenience. Heat-stable, acid-stable and easy to dose — it slots into existing stevia processes.

Reb M or Reb A?

Choose Reb M when taste is the priority and the product is sweetened mostly or only with stevia — zero-sugar soft drinks are the classic case. Choose Reb A when cost per serve matters most or when stevia is one part of a blend. Many brands use a Reb M / Reb A blend to balance the two.

Production method and labelling

Because Reb M can be made in different ways, tell us whether your label or customer requires leaf-extracted material. The production method is stated on the documentation for each lot so your regulatory and labelling team can confirm compliance with the Food Standards Code.

Supply and paperwork

Every lot ships with its certificate of analysis, and specifications and statements are available before you order. Delivery is Australia-wide; samples are available for product development.

Questions about Stevia Reb M

Is Reb M more expensive than Reb A?

Yes, per kilogram. But because it tastes cleaner, products often need less flavour masking, and the overall cost per serve can be competitive in premium and zero-sugar products.

Is your Reb M leaf-extracted or bioconverted?

We can supply both. The method is stated for each lot — tell us which one your specification requires.

Can Reb M be blended with monk fruit?

Yes. Reb M and monk fruit extract work well together and are a popular combination for clean-label sweetening.
